Mohannad discovered his talent in acting during school through radio segments, particularly in the nasheed (chants) segment. He later joined various summer programs and art institutes to refine and pursue his talent.

In 2004, he began his professional journey after enrolling in an acting preparation course at the Saudi Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah. He made his commercial theater debut in the play "Toto Off Site" alongside Egyptian actor Hassan Mostafa and Saudi actor Fouad Baksh.

He later appeared in the play "Ayal Al-Hara" with Syrian actors Hassan Dakkak and Tawfiq Al-Zaeem, known for their roles in Bab Al-Hara.

He performed in numerous children’s and adult plays and participated in major festivals like Al-Janadriyah for two consecutive years, as well as international festivals in Morocco and Egypt.

In 2008, Mohannad transitioned to television with the series "Fi Baytina Gheshna" (In Our House – A Trickster), followed by "Waraak Waraak" aired on Saudi TV in 2009, and the historical series "Sabayek Al-Thahab" (Gold Ingots) in 2010 on Ajyal TV.

In 2012, he competed in Season 2 of "Arabs Got Talent", reaching the finals and becoming one of the top 12 talents in the Arab world—an experience that significantly boosted his artistic career.

He also acted in the Kuwaiti play "The Killer Doll" alongside Malak (Kuwait), Abdullah Bahman, Nawaf Al-Qattan, Youssef Al-Bughli, Lojain, and Khaled Al-Mufidi.
