Started stand-up comedy in 2006 while studying in the U.S.

First Saudi to perform stand-up on stage.

Performed in Bahrain in 2008 (audience of 4,000), later in Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Launched the viral YouTube show “La Yekthar” on November 7, 2010, with millions of views.

Co-founder of the influential Saudi digital content group Telfaz11.

In March 2013, The Washington Post and The National dubbed him “The Seinfeld of Saudi Arabia”.

Performed in Hollywood's Laugh Factory in 2016 — first professional Saudi comedian to do so.

Left Telfaz11 and YouTube in 2016 to pursue TV and film.

🚨 Arrest

In March 2018, Albutairi was arrested in Jordan and transferred to Saudi Arabia via private jet.

His ex-wife Loujain Alhathloul was also detained and was released on February 10, 2021.
