Began his artistic journey in the 1970s through theater performances and cultural contests at Al-Hilal Club.

 

Later moved to Saudi Television, where he wrote and acted in comedic and dramatic segments.

 

His first breakthrough was the TV show "The Strange Guest" in 1973 (1393 AH), directed by Ibrahim Al-Hamdan.

 

He also started in radio with the program "Audio Images", which is still broadcast on Radio Riyadh.

 

In December 2023, he appeared in a commercial on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, after which actor Faisal Al-Issa revealed that Al-Madfa lost his vision two years ago.
